Officer Brian Kneisley

Officer Brian Kneisley began his law enforcement career with the Alpine Police Department in 1999 while working as a Communications Officer. In January of 2000 Officer Kneisley attended the Sul Ross State University Law Enforcement Academy.   After completion of the academy Officer Kneisley continued working as a Communications Officer, and became a Reserve Police Officer for the Alpine Police Department.   After a short time he was promoted to the patrol section of the department. Throughout his term with the Alpine Police Department Kneisley served as Police Officer, Communications Supervisor, and Sergeant. As Sergeant, Kneisley was responsible for Communications, Patrol, and Animal Control.  In 2005 Officer Kneisley became a TCIC / NCIC Associate Trainer for the Texas Department of Public Safety, which allows him to provide required training to department dispatchers as mandated by DPS and the FBI. 

In 2008, Officer Kneisley began working for the University of Texas Permian Basin Police Department. Currently Officer Kneisley serves the department as a Patrol Officer. He also shares the responsibility of Property and Evidence Room Management, and continues his role as a TCIC/ NCIC Associate Trainer. He also shares the roles of Terminal Agency Coordinator, and Police Explorer Advisor. 
Officer Kneisley obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Sul Ross State University in 1999. He also obtained a MS in Criminal justice, and a MA in Public Administration, also from Sul Ross State University, in 2001 and 2002.  Currently Officer Kneisley holds the certifications of TCLEOSE Instructor, and a Master Peace Officer License.
