STUDENT EMPLOYEES
Welcome to UTPB Employment Center – The Office of Human Resources. Before you can be placed on the payroll, you must come to the HR Office (#4224) to complete the appropriate employment forms.
- Form I-9 , Employment Eligibility Verification (At this time, you should present documentation required to prove who you are and that you are eligible to work in the U.S.)
- W-4, Tax Withholding Information
- Selective Service Eligibility (if you’re a male between the ages of 18 and 26.)
- Conflicts of Interest Policy (You will be required to read both the policy and statue of law concerning conflicts of interest within three business days.)
- Direct Deposit - Optional (If you choose, you may have your paycheck deposited directly into your checking account.)
The forms must be completed (and required documentation submitted) before a paycheck can be released.
All Hourly Paid Employees will maintain a weekly time sheet; the time sheet will include employee name, dates worked, start time and departure time for each on-duty period for each day during the pay period.
It is your responsibility to maintain your weekly hours worked and to report them to your designated supervisor.
Payroll for Hourly Paid Employees is on a semi-monthly basis. Payroll appointment periods and pay dates are available from your designated supervisor or in the payroll department (in the Office of Human Resources).
Time reports submitted past the due date must be paid on the next regular pay date.
