Education Counseling

The University of Texas of the Permian Basin invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in education counseling, available for fall 2010. Responsibilities include teaching and advising students in our masters program, supervising practicum experiences, conducting and publishing scholarly research, and providing service to the university and profession. Potential load may include counseling theory, career counseling, practicum, or other courses as needed.

Required qualifications: PhD or EdD in counselor education or a closely related field (ABD’s near completion will be considered); experiences in community and/or agency counseling; demonstrated commitment to serving diverse populations of children, adolescents, and adults; evidence of potential for effective teaching and scholarship; and eligible for licensure in Texas in the near future.

Preferred qualifications: Degree from a CACREP accredited program; prior university-level teaching experience.
