Q1. When is my tuition bill due?
Tuition is payable at the time of registration in most cases. However, if you are preregistering for courses for the next semester, the due date for payment of your tuition will be printed on your statement.
Q2. How can I pay my tuition for the semester?
The University has several options for payment of tuition and fees. You can pay by cash, check or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, and Discover). You can pay by using a tuition loan (Emergency Loan). The loan interest rate is 5% and is due in full within 60 days.
Q3. When will my financial aid be applied to my tuition and fee bill?
The Office of Student Financial Aid will apply certain types of your financial aid package directly to your student account (PELL grants, certain scholarships, certain state grants and scholarships, some third party billings (agencies).) Other types of aid cannot be applied and you must check with the Office of Student Financial Aid to get these types of aid applied to your account.
Q4. How much do I owe for tuition and fees?
Tuition and fee rates are established by the State of Texas and the University of Texas System Regents. A schedule of these tuition and fee rates can be found HERE.
Q5. How do I get a transcript?
You can download the Transcript Request Form (TRF) HERE. You will need to complete the form and return it to: Cashier, The University of Texas of the Permian Basin, 4901 E. University, Odessa, Texas, 79762. If mailed, please allow 5 to 7 business days for processing. You can fax your request to the number listed on the TRF. Please be sure to include a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, and Discover) and your signature.
Q6. When will residual checks be issued?
Residual checks are requested by the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA). Please contact OSFA for any information you need.
Q7. When will refund checks be issued?
Refund checks are generally processed after all add/drop activity has been processed to each student's account. This generally occurs after the 12th class day. Please contact the Office of Accounting for any additional information.
